Nursery Fees – September 2025

Opening Hours

We are open Mon-Fri 8.00 am to 6.00pm, 51 weeks of the year.

Early Bird sessions (7.45-8.00am) are available at £5.00

A breakdown of our costs are set out on the fee schedule below, and we frequently benchmark against local nurseries to continuously remain competitive:

Government Funding

From September 2025, working families will be able to claim 30 hours of government-funded childcare a week, over 38 weeks of the year, from nine months. Those not eligible for working family funding may be eligible for 15 hours entitlement from 2 years. All families are eligible for 15 hours from 3 years. In all cases, funding applies from the start of the following term.

Wellingtons Day Nurseries ensures childcare provision throughout the year by spreading the 38 weeks of ‘15 hours’ and ‘30 hours’ government funding over 51 weeks (Christmas week closure):

15 hours x 38 weeks = 570 hours per year.

Over 51 weeks = 11.17 hours per week, rounded up to 11.2 hours per week.

30 hours x 38 weeks = 1,140 hours per year.

Over 51 weeks = 22.36 hours per week, rounded up to 22.4 hours per week.

Fully funded sessions and funding allocation are subject to eligibility, availability, and adherence to terms and conditions.

Where funding does not apply, the daily charge is £80.00

The following is included with all paid bookings:

  • Breakfast, snacks, lunch, tea, baby formula milk & weaning foods, and drinks
  • Nappies, wipes and creams
  • All curriculum activities, clubs and trips

** Voluntary consumable charge of £5.00 per day, which includes: Breakfast, 2 healthy snacks, nutritious lunch, light tea, nappies, wipes, cream and suncream (only applies to fully funded sessions options). If this not paid, these will need to be provided by families. To discuss alternatives, please speak to the manager to ensure that you are in line with both internal policies and procedures and the Department of Education guidelines.

As detailed in the Early Educations and Childcare Statutory Guidance; “Government funding is not intended to cover the costs of meals, other consumables, additional hours or additional services”

Fully funded places (with no additional charges) are available for eligible children.  This is stretched over 51 weeks and equates to 1 full day for 15 hours of funding and 2 full days for 30 hours. Fully funded sessions and funding allocation are subject to eligibility, availability, and adherence to terms and conditions. For further details, please contact the Nursery Manager.

Tax-Free Childcare

Tax-Free childcare is a government scheme that helps save money on the cost of approved childcare. For every £8 you pay into this account, the government will pay in £2 to be used to pay your provider.

You can get Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as funded childcare, if you’re eligible for both.

Visit the Childcare Choices website for further details, www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.
